Celtic can face Riga FC, who might not have a manager as he had to leave for Russia to ‘sort personal issues’.
The Celts travel to Latvia, for the third qualifying tie of the Europa League after Riga beat Tre Fiori, in a match that was delayed.
But they were stunned because their gaffer, Oleg Kononov, returned home to Russia, leaving assistant manager Mihals Konevs in charge instead.
And now they don’t know if Oleg Kononov will be in charge for the match against Celtic.
A club statement said: “We are waiting for the return of Oleg Kononov when it is possible for him to come back.
“Until then, the team will be coached by Mihals Konevs instead.”
Meanwhile, Edouard has been benched, to keep up his fitness for the Riga match.
Lennon said: “He was away with France recently and played two 90 minutes with them.
“He had missed the previous three games for us before that.
“I spoke to him on Friday and he was struggling so you have to look after the player.
“Hopefully he will be fresh for Thursday which is a very important game for us.
“He is not causing any problems behind the scenes. He was honest enough to say he was struggling and I take his word on that.”
