Albian Ajeti has backing from the President of Albania after signing for Celtic.
President Ilir Meta, doesn’t need an excsue to tweet about the Celts and this time he revealed his delgiht that Ajeti – a Kosovar-Albanian – agreed a £5million deal.
Ajeti plays for the Swiss national team, because his family had to uproot because of the Blalkan War in the late 1990’s.
And the new signing for Celtic has made clear that they’re aren’t the only Celtic fans backhome.
Celtic is known all around the world, but especially from where I come from originally.
“People from Kosovar Albania really support Celtic so I have known about the club since I was a small boy.
“They have a fanbase there and the president of Albania is a huge supporter, so we actually grew up knowing about the club.
“I know that it’s a huge season for Celtic and Scottish football.
“I know what this means to take the No10.
“But I am very positive about this season and I am looking forward to what is ahead.
“We will do our best to reach our goals at the end of the season.”
