Jordon Forster says turning up the pressure on their rivals will see Dundee through a third cold night under the floodlights.
The Dark Blues can make it three wins in eight days, having beat Alloa and Ayr, 3-0 and 2-1 respectively.
A win against Morton – which will be shown on BBC Scotland, tonight at 7.05 – will put third behind Ayr and three points behind rivals from across the street United.
The defender said: “We can go put on a show a good performance and put a little bit of pressure on the teams ahead of us.
“It is a good chance to go ahead and get three points.
“It is the first time the club has won two league games in a row for a long time. It is a small achievement but we have a game again. Momentum is one of the biggest things in football.”
The Dens Park side’s win against Alloa made it back-to-back victories for the first time in 15 months, but Forster said: “All the boys have the belief there is more than enough in our dressing room to win the league.”
