Zenit are preparing a bid for, Celtic star, James Forrest, and are preparing to offer him £70,000 a week.
The Russian club can sign players till the 6th of September, when their deadline closes.
They have already shelled out £40m for Brazilian attacked Malcom, from Barcelona, and still have funds to spend on upgrading their squad.
Celtic won’t welcome any bid for Forrest, with Lennon saying he is a crucial player in their 10-in-a-row bid.
Forrest is happy at Celtic with his contract not running out until 2022. And Neil Lennon admits he is keen to tie him down even further, which could see Forrest being a one-club man.
But with Zenit preparing to improve Forrest’s salary, he may entertain a move abroad.
The prospect of losing Forrest on top of Tierney would be unthinkable for most Celtic fans.
