Celtic ‘hunting Norwegian ace’ for Tierney replacement

Celtic are reportedly hunting for Norwegian, Birger Meling.

According to TV2 pundit Jesper Mathisen, the Rosenborg Left-back is being scouted as a replacement for Kieran Tierney.

He said: “Meling has been hunted a bit by Celtic.

“They sold their left back to Arsenal, so they have a hole there.

“Meling is a player they know well, because Celtic has played against Rosenborg a couple of times.”

The left back would have big shoes to fill if he made the switch to Paradise, with Tierney moving to Arsenal, Tierney became the most expensive Scottish player after heading to London worth £25m.

However, Meling maybe the man for the job, a proven winner, he has lifted two league titles with Rosenborg and has even scored a goal against Celtic.
