Brendan Rodgers has revealed that Kieran Tierney is set to make his return to action this weekend.
Celtic host Motherwell on Sunday afternoon and Tierney, who has not played since the Europa League game against Salzburg on December 13th, is set to return to the first-team. Tierney has been out of action with a hip and pelvic injury but has come through the last fortnight’s full training without any reaction.
“By the end of this week that will be two full weeks Kieran will have had training with the squad,” said Rodgers. “We would hope that by Motherwell at the weekend that he will be in with a chance. So we will assess that.
“But he is looking very strong. He is looking back to his running ability that he showed before the injury. “Physicality is very important for Kieran.
“The role he plays getting up and down the line but he looks as though he is back moving and we are hoping that come the weekend he will be fine.”
