UPDATE: JIM MCINTYRE HAS GOTTEN THE DUNDEE JOB.
Former Scotland gaffer Gordon Strachan, is joint favourite to be the next manager at Dens Park – along with Jim McIntyre who are 6/4 front runners according to oddschecker.com.
McIntyre has not had a managerial job since getting the sack from Dingwall outfit Ross County, over a year ago.
And Strachan’s last job was for the national team – while at Celtic Strachan helped them to three titles, two League Cups and a Scottish Cup. He also guided the Hoops to back-to-back qualification for the Champions League last 16.
Charlie Adam is “open to the idea” of being involved in the coaching team and proclaiming Strachan would be a great fit to replace McCann.
He said: “We all grew up supporting Dundee in my family, even though dad played for the other side.”
“I’m gutted for Neil McCann it’s come to this. Every time I spoke with him he had a clear vision what he wanted.”
McCann was sacked by Dundee after a terrible run of seven defeats in their opening eight games.
The club are bottom of the Premiership on just three points.
