Treble for Dundee West.

Dundee West has achieved a feat that not many others can boast about – the treble.
They won the League, League Cup, the East Region Cup, the League title was wrapped up on the final day, in an enthralling fashion.
On the final day of the season saw three possible winners, Dundee West, TMGF and Dundee Universty who were leading the way with 50 points, closely followed by Dundee West’s 49 points and TMGF’s 48 points.
The slip up from Dundee Uni against TMGF saw West all but guaranteed the League, but they still had a job to do.
And they did just that, the job was done and they didn’t care about their opponents Montrose as they crushed them 10-0 with hat-tricks from Steve Martin and Chris Brash, along with a brace from Jamie Reilly and goals from Kevin Higgins and Danny Moir.
The League Cup was won the hard way as West raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to a Jamie Reilly brace, only for TMGF to bring it back to 2-2, then came what seemed a never-ending penalty shootout – of course, it did end – 10-9.

Craig scores in the East Region Cup final.

The East Region Cup final was a phenomenal match – which could not have been a better advert for the game – as West lead in the first half thanks to goals from Mikey Craig and Declan Gallagher, and went in at halftime 2-0 up before TMGF’s Rhys Fraser popped up and scored a hattrick in under five minutes and almost ruined the treble chances but Jordan Timmons sprung up in the dying embers of the game to take the match to penalties, where they won 4-5.
Jhony Pozo also got sent off minutes before Timmons equaliser.
So, with that, the season is finished and the league will return in September.
However, Dundee West’s seasons still continues as they fight for promotion into the SFL Super League as they battle it out against some of the countries best Futsal teams.
