If Rodgers goes they should get old gaffer

With Arsene Wenger leaving Arsenal after nearly 22 years at the helm, it is only right that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is getting linked with the job after all he has done up here.
The man that deserves the job if indeed Rodgers did go when Arsenal come calling, is Neil Lennon – the current Hibs manager that recently beat Celtic 2-1, which stopped them from winning the league and will now have to wait until Saturday’s game against Rangers.

I can’t think of anyone that would oppose the signing of Neil Lennon, after all, he is done at Hibs who have every chance of finishing second in the league after returning last season.
Nobody knows if Rodgers’ will leave his beloved Celtic for a more attractive team with bigger budgets, but what we do know is Lennon will be high on Peter Lawwell’s list should he need one.
He is rightly already being linked with the job, but if the Gunners do go elsewhere it sure won’t be the last time a big European team will come knocking on the door.
But to be honest, if Arsenal were serious about landing Rodgers they would have already touched base with Lawwell before this point. The fact that no contact is made will be a big boost for Celtic and they won’t lose their manager just yet.

Celtic have made it clear that they will not stand in the way of Rodgers’ leaving if he does want to go elsewhere, but I’m sure Celtic would rather Rodgers’ be there own Wenger or Sir Alex.
