The Aberdeen gaffer has been linked with a switch to Rangers after Caixinha left the Ibrox outfit.
Rangers have officially been knocked back by Aberdeen, in their first attempt to sign Derek McInnes.
The former Rangers midfielder, has been linked to the light blues, however, the first attempt has been rejected, with the dons releasing a statement saying;
“Aberdeen Football Club has announced this evening that Rangers have contacted the club asking for permission to speak to Derek McInnes and that permission has been refused.”
Aberdeen was reportedly where demanding at least £1,000,000 before letting Rangers talk to McInnes.
